Dresses grandma would approve of! Yes, they’re demure, but they’re also pretty and feminine.
This dress from Shiki Design is the inspiration for this post. I love the scoop neck with the bow and the light floral fabric with its subtle peach and pink print. The dress is not too short but not so long that it hides all that glorious leg. The prim details here on the neckline, sleeves, and skirt make this a really special piece. It just makes me want to dance around and sing “I love being a girl!”
This is actually a blouse and skirt pair from DeLa which makes this look extremely versatile because you can mix and match the pieces and wear them with other things. There is another prim that comes with the blouse that I am not wearing here, that gives the sleeves a poofy look that is quite adorable. The neckline here is very proper, and is countered by the length of the skirt which is just barely not too short. Once again the fabric is that almost sheer chiffon look floral print, that makes you want to spin in a circle to watch it swirl around your body.
One more dress you can wear to church on Easter Sunday. The dress here is actually a tank dress with very thin straps and a deep neckline, but as any girl knows, throwing a cute cardigan over anything makes it prim and proper. Solange carries this in quite a few different prints with matching cardis, which made my choice difficult as they were all cute and I wanted each one! I adjusted the skirt prim here to make it quite a bit shorter than it was originally, but it is just as wonderful left knee length. This would be a great dress to go to church, picnicking, or for an idyllic walk with your honey.
I wanted to show you this pump from B&G. Perfect with this look, it’s feminine and made special with the pretty bows and diamond studs. It comes in a variety of colors that will go with just about anything you own. A great all around shoe.
