Baby dolls are the theme of the day! Baby dolls are easy to wear, and you can just throw them on without putting too much thought into them. I love the summery fabrics that are appearing in all the shops now on these easy to love pieces.
This lovely dress comes from Aoharu, a recent find of mine. There were so many things there I wanted to buy but I limited myself…somehow! This dress though was simply irresistible. The fabric looks like silk and the beautiful rose print makes this dress really feminine. What you can’t see is what’s beneath this dress. The glitch pants are made to form a bathing suit with the shirt portion of the dress. Take off the chest and skirt prims and you have another stunning piece to wear. Also, surprise! The dress comes with another skirt prim, kind of a layered mini. It’s three outfits in one, and very high quality. I was impressed by this dress again and again.
The rich colors in this dress from Pixel Dolls was what first caught my eye, but once I put this on, I fell in love with it even more. The dress prim is made in such a way that it flows around the body but also allows those womanly curves to peek out and be shown off. Baby dolls are inherently feminine but this one goes beyond that, allowing you to be sexy at the same time in a way that’s an interesting juxtaposition of innocence and naughty. You can’t go wrong with this one no matter what your mood.
This was another one where the fabric caught my eye. It would be a lot easier on me if I could shop with my eyes closed! The colors in the fabric here are actually very subtle, but the combination used along with the geometric print really make it pop. This is a very traditional baby doll, feminine and soft, flowing gracefully out from under the breasts to graze the body and move and swirl around it.
You might have noticed I’m wearing the same shoes with each outfit. I love these sandals from Maitreya Gold, and own them in lots of colors. The xtd version of these Esprit shoes have color change laces and come in beautiful patent textures. The regular version, shown above, are in a sumptuous leather texture. Both come in a variety of colors. The prim feet on these are just amazing, and the HUD that comes with them to color your feet also comes with a handy guide showing which brand skins match which of their base colors preset in the HUD. You might have to tweak them a bit but they’ll be so close to start that it’s surprisingly easy to get a good match. In the box are versions for both the old and new viewers, so if you’re using 2.0 or one of its variants you can take advantage of the alpha layer included and avoid the invisprims. That makes these shoes even more versatile as you don’t have to use two attachment points to wear them.
I wanted to point out the beautiful ring from Skifija I’m wearing in the last look shown and mention something about the creator. Not too long ago I had a problem with another piece I purchased at Skifija, and so I sent a notecard to goran Osterham, the creator for these Skifija pieces. He answered promptly and went above and beyond what I would expect from any merchant, doing more than was necessary to make sure I was absolutely satisfied. Not only do they offer beautiful jewelry, but they provide top-notch customer service. You can’t ask for more than that from any merchant in Second Life™.
